WinchGear GearHold Freespool Delete

Eliminating the factory freespool lever and gear holder in the Warn 8274 highmount, the Winchgear freespool delete holds the gear in the winch when the motor is removed allowing for easy motor changes or removal for maintenance etc. By eliminating the factory freespool the issue of the winch jumping out of gear or having the gear misaligned and breaking are removed.

The WinchGear Freespool Delete also features a sealed bearing to support the motor shaft under heavy winching loads.

Made from marine grade anodised 6061 Aluminium with stainless steel fixings and pre-fitted sealed bearing it will last a lifetime in the harshest conditions.

WinchGear Upgrade brake shaft kit

The factory brake shaft in the Warn 8274 is not up to the task when put under heavy winching conditions especially with 24 volt systems and multiple motors.

The WinchGear upgraded brake shaft is made from hardened and ground EN36 material making is significantly stronger out of the box, the O ring groove is profiled to reduce stress risers caused from sharp edges and the root of the teeth is tapered out longitudinally to provide less stress at the base of the tooth. The bearing support end of the shaft has a back cut radius to further reduce stress in this area. The groove from the retaining plate is removed with a circlip and thrust washer retaining the shaft in place.

The brake assembly is also held in place by a steel end cap and bolt eliminating the factory circlip which is prone to failure.

Manufactured in Australia the shaft is available both with or without the large cam and comes with all hardware and instructions to fit to your winch, with capable DIYers able to fit in just a few hours.

WinchGear +76 Billet Fairlead 

Again machined in Australia from 6061 billet aluminium and marine grade anodised the WinchGear Billet Fairlead suits +76mm (3") extended drums. The smooth radius and hard wearing aluminium reduces rope wear on tight angles and looks great on the front of your 4WD. Using billet material over the usual cast alloy allows additional strength under heavy winching conditions. The black marine anodising to 25 micron means a long lasting great looking finish.
