Bullet DCX Winch Motor Adapter Ring

Expand the fitment of your Road Runner Bullet DCX Winch Motor with our purpose-designed adapter ring, developed for Gigglepin, TracTec and selected late-model KOV winches.

The Bullet DCX was engineered around the traditional Warn 8274 top hat, allowing the motor to achieve the ideal armature position and brush contact for maximum performance.

As winch manufacturers use different housing and bearing dimensions, the relationship between the armature bearing face and the motor mounting face can vary. Our adapter ring compensates for these dimensional differences, positioning the Bullet DCX correctly within the winch housing and maintaining the intended armature and brush alignment.

Do I need the adapter?

It's quick and easy to check.

If the armature bearing face-to-housing mounting face measurement on your winch is greater than 8 mm, the adapter ring is required.

Another simple way to check is to test-fit the Bullet DCX motor. If the winch housing contacts the armature before the motor mounting faces are fully seated, the adapter ring provides the additional clearance required for correct installation.

The components work together to correctly position and support the Bullet DCX within the winch housing, providing the correct armature and brush alignment.

Please note: If your winch does not already use extended motor mounting bolts, extended bolts will also be required when installing the adapter ring.
