Universal Reversible M6 / 1/4" UNC Winch Solenoid Mounting Stud Kit

 

These reversible solenoid mounting studs are designed to make fitting DC-88 and DC-182 style solenoids simple and tidy. Compatible with both metric and imperial winch motors, they allow the solenoid to be mounted directly to the rear of the motor for a clean, secure installation and easier cable routing.

Each stud features both M6 and 1/4" UNC threads, making them suitable for a wide range of winches without requiring separate hardware.

Installation Instructions

Imperial Winches (Warn 8274, GP Series, etc.)

Use the gold M6 nuts.

Apply the supplied heat shrink to the M6 end of the stud (do not cover the threads), aligning it with the start of the M6 thread.

Fit the O-ring, flat washer and flange nut down to the base of the M6 thread.

Mount the motor to the winch as normal.

Use the remaining flat washer and M6 flange nut to secure the solenoid.

Metric Winches (RedWinch, Low Mounts, etc.)

Use the silver 1/4" UNC nuts.

Apply the supplied heat shrink to the 1/4" UNC end of the stud (do not cover the threads), aligning it with the start of the thread.

Fit the O-ring, flat washer and flange nut down to the base of the 1/4" UNC thread.

Mount the motor to the winch as normal.

Use the remaining flat washer and 1/4" UNC flange nut to secure the solenoid.
